Why Your Wallet Prefers Wine Over Hard Liquor

As a broke college student, I am always on a budget. This pertains to my alcohol spending as well.

There is nothing worse than waking up the next day, after a long night out with the girls, and checking your bank statement. Well actually maybe the hangover, lost personal items and dignity might take the crown for “Worst Feeling Ever”, but let us pretend you beat the devil’s water.

One bottle of wine is usually 750 ml and let us give it the average of all wine alcohol content which is about 13%. One bottle/can of beer is 354 ml and its alcohol content is usually 4-5%.

This means one bottle of wine could be the equivalent to 3 beers. Huzzah!

We get to skip the bloating, burping, and nasty aftertaste of beer breath AND we get to save ourselves a few bucks.
